What is your favourite place to ride in New Brunswick? My husband and I are all about cross country. Our favourite NB trails include: Edmundston’s Madawaska Trails, Shady Grove in Quispamsis, and Minto’s Mountain Bike Trail
What is your favourite post ride treat? One very cold Heineken.
What is something that you have been proud to accomplish while riding your bike? I have been thrilled to podium a few times at XC events but I’m most proud of continuing to improve my skills while staying upright.
What are some of the abilities and skills that you would like to highlight that you bring to Velo NB? I have an ad agency background back in Calgary and have worked on business that spanned the gamut from agriculture, post-secondary to high-end fashion and dining. In New Brunswick I have worked for five years at Mike’s Bike Shop in Dieppe as their Communications Coordinator. Like my work at Mike’s Bike Shop – Velo NB combines two of my favourite things; cycling and communications; I hope my passion for both will show in my work.
What is something that you’re proud of accomplishing during your time at Velo NB? It’s very early days with regards to my involvement on the board; initially I’m prepared to listen and learn. I foresee our board’s communication goals as continuing to raise awareness of Velo NB’s role in cycling with the ultimate goal of inspiring involvement by both recreational and competitive riders in our beautiful province.
