What is your favourite place to ride in New Brunswick? I ride locally mostly, however, I’m beginning to explore more Bike parks outside the Greater Moncton area. My favorite road ride when riding alone is Memramcook, love the rolling hills and views it offers. I also really enjoy group road rides to Sackville and back, it works out to just over 100km and we always stop for coffee and dessert in Sackville. When I’m on the mountain bike, I’m usually at the Dieppe Rotary Park. The trail network has improved a lot over the last 5 years and keeps improving. I can have a fun ride and a great work out at Dieppe Rotary Park and it’s 5 minutes from my house.
What is your favourite post ride treat? Coffee or beer depending on the time of the day.
What is something that you have been proud to accomplish while riding your bike? I’ve been racing MTB and cyclocross for close to 20 years now and still racing at age 60. Being able to stay competitive at this age is very satisfying for me. I was never an Elite but raced Expert through the years. I was able to win two provincial championships titles, one in MTB 40+ Expert category in 2005 and the other one was in Cyclocross 50+ category in 2023. I also did quite a few endurance MTB events in New Brunswick and Quebec between 2005 and 2010. These are very challenging and was happy with most of my results.

Worked at both the provincial and federal levels of government over this time. I have good senses of how organizations best operate and have extensive experience with how governments work. What I will bring to Velo NB is knowledge of how governments work, how to work best with governments and develop lasting relationships.
