What part of NB are you from and what club do you ride with? I am from Fredericton New Brunswick, and I ride for the Radical Edge team.
How did you get started in cycling? I got started with cycling during Covid. My good friend Rein was involved in cycling. He brought me along once to try it and I ended up enjoying it a lot. It stuck!
What’s been your proudest cycling moment so far? My proudest cycling moment is the mountain bike race I did at Rockwood Park in 2023. I felt really good that race and had a lot of fun.
What does it mean to you to represent NB at the Canada Games? To me representing NB at the Canada Games is a good opportunity to show that even though NB is a smaller province we still have a lot of very talented athletes and that we are able to hang with the best.
What’s your favourite place to ride in NB? My favourite place to mountain bike in New Brunswick are the trails in the Saint John area including Rockwood Park and Shady Grove. I haven’t road biked much outside of Fredericton but I love the riding here.
What’s one goal you’ve set for yourself at the Games? A goal I have set for myself at the Canada Games is to learn as much as I can by riding with some of the best riders in the country.
Any pre-race rituals or must-have gear? For pre race rituals I like to have a nice big breakfast around three hours before my race – as well – I always wash my bike the night before. For must have gear – my sunglasses are a must at all races.
Who’s your biggest supporter or role model in cycling? My biggest supporters are always my parents. They of course help me by driving to all my races and they’re always cheering me on.
