What part of NB are you from and what club do you ride with? I’m from Grand Falls, New Brunswick and I ride with Rocket Factory Golden.
How did you get started in cycling? I’ve mountain biked for fun most of my life, but after a crash left me injured and unable to ride trails, I turned to road cycling. Eventually, I got into Zwift racing, and from there I started competing outdoors.
What’s been your proudest cycling moment so far? My proudest moment is probably winning the Grand Prix des Laurentides junior in the breakaway.
What’s your favourite place to ride in NB? My favourite place to ride is in New Denmark (close to Grand Falls), it has nice hills and farm roads with no traffic.
What’s one goal you’ve set for yourself at the Games? I want to enjoy the experience and do my best while trying to maximize positioning. I’m planning to leave it all out there.
Who’s your biggest role model in cycling? My biggest role model is Mathieu van der Poel. He’s a similar type of rider to me and excels across disciplines—cyclocross, mountain biking, and road racing. He just keeps winning, and that really inspires me.
