New Brunswick’s premier provincial mountain bike racing series returns with an expanded calendar and renewed focus on athlete development
Fredericton, NB — [10-04-2026] — Velo New Brunswick (Velo NB) is pleased to announce the return of the 2026 Velo NB Cup, the province’s premier competitive off road cycling series. Building on the success of past seasons, the 2026 Velo NB Cup will once again bring together athletes, clubs, volunteers, and communities from across New Brunswick for a series of high-quality sanctioned races.
The Velo NB Cup is designed to showcase the best of provincial cycling, offering competitive opportunities for performance, development, and grassroots riders. Races will be held at multiple locations across the province, highlighting New Brunswick’s amazing and committed cycling community in XC and Gravity disciplines.
“The organizers are the backbone of competitive mountain biking in New Brunswick, and we are excited to bring them together like this,” said Chris Foster, Executive Director. “The Velo NB Cup provides meaningful racing opportunities for developing athletes, our clubs, coaches and volunteers.”
2026 Series Highlights
- A multi‑event provincial cup format sanctioned by Velo NB
- Open to licensed riders across multiple categories and age groups
- Events hosted by Velo NB affiliated clubs and community organizers
- Points awarded at each race toward overall Velo NB Cup standings
- The XC Series will combine events from XCO and XCC disciplines.
- The Gravity Series will combine DH and Enduro disciplines.
